Ardent Theatre Company is a registered charity with a mission to end class inequality in theatre. We produce theatre, provide training and remove barriers to ensure at least 50% of actors employed in theatre are from working-class backgrounds and at least 50% of audience members attending theatre are from working-class backgrounds.

We are thrilled to announce that writers Florence Espeut-Nickless, Shahid Iqbal Khan, Kelly Jones and Diana Nneka Atuona have been commissioned to write 4 short plays for our Autumn 2026 production OUR COUNTRY NOW.

Our ARDENT8 ensemble of young actors from around England are back in London this month to continue their programme of workshops with industry professionals kicking off with Hazel Holder - Voice and Dialect Coach at the National Theatre.
