Angela Crispim joins our ARDENT8

This month the ARDENT8 project started up again with the next round of 5 workshops leading to a one-week professional performance at Soho Theatre in the Summer. We're sad to say goodbye to Kamilah Hassan who is unfortunately no longer available to take part this year. Hopefully, this won't be the last you'll see of her working with Ardent.

So, it gives us great pleasure to introduce you to new member Angela Crispim.

ARDENT: What was your first reaction when Andrew invited you to be part of the project?

ANGELA: I couldn’t believe my luck, I have wanted to be a part of the project for a long time. I was speechless when it happened. 

ARDENT: What is it you’re hoping to get out it?

ANGELA: I believe Ardent8 is a great platform for networking, so I look forward to meeting lots of new and interesting people. 

ARDENT: Tell us a bit about where you are now on your acting journey?

ANGELA: After completing my degree I hoped to continue to work on creative projects and get involved in community based theatre. But my future is open and I’m so excited for this adventure.

ARDENT: What are some of the most challenging obstacles in wanting to be an actor?

ANGELA: Locally, I feel there are very limited opportunities for aspiring actors, so the most challenging obstacle in my view would be finding professional work locally.

ARDENT: Where do you hope to see yourself in 5 years time?

ANGELA: Ideally I would love to have gained some more experience in both acting and directing before finally returning to university to complete an MA in directing

ARDENT: Any last words of wisdom you’d like to share?

ANGELA: Anything is possible if you want it enough and are willing to work for it.
